My Life with bamboo
I like this weaving method very much, it is a joy for me to look at the shapes that are created in this design. When it is illuminated with light, a different pattern is drawn again. Can be used as a cup coaster or as a small plate for serving sweets.
Product material
The center weaving is made from bamboo and the edges from rattan.
Yui Valley Bamboo
We harvest our bamboo by ourselves from Asahina and Okabe in Fujieda city, Shizuoka prefecture, Japan.
We harvest 2 types of bamboo named `Madake‘ and ‘Moso‘- from 10 different bamboo groves.
Harvest season is from about October to December,
When the bamboo grove stops to drink rain water from the ground.
After harvest we will cut the bamboo from 20 meter length
to 4 pieces of 2 meter each, that we can use.
The next step is boiling the bamboo in a large 2 meter water pot,
This process will drain out the oils.
After that the bamboo will dry in the sun and wind for 2 to 3 weeks.
Our final outcome from this long process is a strong, long lasting beautiful white bamboo with natural glossy skin.
Because we only use the bamboo skin surface in our products
They are very strong and can last long.

Approximately 15cm in diameter
Please understand that the shape, color and size might be slightly different because it is handmade from natural materials.
Cleaning
Wash quickly and wipe thoroughly, do not use detergent.
.Storage method
Avoid direct sunlight and humidity. have good ventilation.
Do not store in a plastic bag as humidity might cause mold.
Colore might change over time to a light brown color.

How to use
お皿としては、小さいですが、和菓子、 ケーキ、のお皿、コースター、何か大事なもの小物を置いて置くとしてもお使いいただけます
竹材
静岡県藤枝市にある朝比奈、岡部の竹林を中心に、真竹、孟宗竹１０箇所の竹林から切り出す。 よく選別した竹を自分で切り出しをします
水を吸い上げを止めた冬の期間に真竹を切り出し、油抜き、2～３週間天日干し、出来上がった白竹を使用しています。光沢のある竹材を加工して竹ひごをつくり、編み込んでいます。
縁は、籐を利用しています 強度ある皮面のみを使用しているので非常に強い作りとなっています。

天然素材を手作りしているので形、色目、大きさが若干違う事がありますのでご理解お願いします?
保管方法
直射日光をさけ、風通しの良い、なるべく湿度が低い所での保管でお願いします。
また、洗う際は、水洗いを基本とし洗剤は使わずにサッと洗って頂きしっかりと拭き取って下さい。浸水させたり、洗浄機にかけるようなことは、しないで下さい。また、油がつくようなことがあれば、ぬるま湯を使い手でこすりとるよう洗ってみて下さい。
保管方法
直射日光をさけ、風通しの良い、なるべく湿度が低い所での保管でお願いします。また、ビニールなどの通気性の悪いものにいれての保管はカビの原因となるので気をつけて下さい
時間の経過と共にあめ色(茶色)にゆっくりと変化していくので自然素材の色の変化を楽しんで頂けたら良いかと思います。
